Main requirements:

For our IT development centre in Prague, we are looking for dedicated The Business Architect ICOS who will work with dedicated London-based and Frankfurt-based technical and business staff to develop enhancements to the existing ICOS platform. In addition the role will provide 3rd level business as usual (BAU) support as required. The focus of the activities is the technical interaction of the platform components.


We are offering a position to candidates with the following qualifications and experience:

  • University degree in Computer Science or similar, technical subject
  • At least 5 years relevant work experience
  • Expert level of knowledge with Informatica 9.1 or higher, Oracle, DWH concepts, SQL/PL-SQL, Java, Unix, Shell scripting and Control-M
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in and English with the ability to interact with business and technical IT teams
  • Proven experience working with all aspects of the Systems Development Life Cycle
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English
  • Willingness to travel depending on project needs

Tasks:

  • Administration of software installations and configurations (Informatica, Control-M, Unix, Matlab, etc.)
  • Performance tuning including Oracle RDBMS Support, setup of new environments and software/vendor upgrades
  • Implementation of complex data warehousing structures and data models in a large & global organization with ETL Tool Informatica and Oracle RDBMS

We are looking for Linux/Unix Administrator for one of the largest exchange organizations worldwide. Information Technology designs, builds and operates the technological infrastructure of the company. These highly integrated and automated IT systems are essential to our success.

Field of activity

The Systems Infrastructure department is mainly responsible for the management of Servers and Third Party Software Infrastructure (Windows / Citrix bases systems, Unix / Linux, Z/OS / Z/Linux, VMS, Hypervisor); the management of the Data Infrastructure (database, backup and storage); the management of the Connectivity to SWIFT and via MQ; the administration and operation of Notes, Metaframe, Novell, SAP systems and Office Automation support systems; the infrastructure process support (Capacity Planning, Disaster Recovery, Asset Management, etc.)

Tasks/responsibilities

  • Daily operation of Linux/Unix Server including troubleshooting of server issues
  • Maintenance of the monitoring system
  • Installation of Linux/Unix Operating System on physical and virtual servers
  • System management (upgrading, patching and tuning), capacity and performance management. Installation and upgrade of third party products
  • Configuration and support of Veritas Volume Manager (disk group management, snapshots functionality, file systems creation/grow/shrink/removal, etc.) and Veritas Cluster Server (custom agents, resource dependencies and criticality, network setup, monitoring, etc.)
  • Maintain and ensure high-availability on server or application level (through clustering or stand-by hosts)
  • Operation includes shifts and on-call duty distributed among the team (an average of 2 shifts or oncall duty per month might be expected)

Qualifications/required skills

  • University degree in Information Technology or equivalent
  • 3+ years experience in System Administration in a highly critical environment
  • Expertise in RedHat 5/6/7 (installation, system monitoring and maintenance, tuning and troubleshooting, etc.)
  • Expertise in Veritas Volume Manager and Cluster Server is an advantage
  • Expertise in at least one additional Unix system (Solaris, AIX) is an advantage
  • Experience in automation of installation and deployment (RedHat Satellite, Puppet, Foreman, Ansible) is an advantage
  • Experience with monitoring tools is an advantage
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Ability to work in a highly critical production environment
  • Willingness to take over responsibility
  • Willingness to gain expertise on new technologies
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English, German is an advantage

We are looking for dedicated analysts to join our IT development centre in Prague and help us advance the functionality and technology of our systems. You will acquire insight into financial market products and processes and our state of the art risk calculation model. Also you’ll learn to understand the technical requirements of our system – reliability, performance and scalability. You will review and comment business concepts and help stakeholders formulate requirements. You will write specifications, communicate and coordinate with development teams implementing them. You will assist and advise test teams on testing activities and acceptance criteria.


This project will provide an opportunity to travel to Frankfurt – on trips to coordinate with business.


You should possess and demonstrate the following skills and qualification:

  • Excellent analytical skills, experience as an analyst in financial services institutions.
  • Critical thinking, the ability to identify problems and propose solutions
  • Strong interest and good orientation in Information Technology
  • University degree in Computer Science or Economics/Finance or equivalent professional qualification or experience
  • Experience with Use Case specifications and familiarity with formulating Test Cases
  • MS Office and SQL know-how required, knowledge of UML and modelling tools (MS Visio) is a plus
  • Mathematics background and statistical modelling knowledge is a strong advantage
  • Strong interest in financial markets is required. Experience in financial derivatives or cash trading particularly on risk management or pricing of instruments would be beneficial
